Community Involvement

The arts are widely recognized as a crucial element in the development of intellect, in the advancement of cognitive function, and in achieving fullness of life at all ages. The Claire Trevor School of the Arts embraces its role as an active member of the Orange County community and is committed to sharing the richness and depth of the arts with both our youth and our adult populations.

Our Outreach program partners with local schools and arts organizations to share talents and knowledge with students of all ages.  Creative Connections, one of our programs geared to school-age children, introduces children to the arts, prepares middle- and high-school students for college, and provides adults with active experiential immersion in the arts to help enrich lives.  In addition, we partner with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, providing a wide variety of lecturers from all our disciplines and discounted tickets to our performances.

In its role as a leader in the Orange County community, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts shares its dynamic talents with a wide constituency. By providing an unparalleled, up-close look at the arts, our outreach promotes a high quality of education—and a high quality of life—for thousands in the community.

The School takes seriously its commitment to place graduates. The UCI Santley Showcase—"UCI COAST-TO-COAST"—held in both Los Angeles/Hollywood and New York City, showcases the entire graduating MFA acting class. Undergraduate and MFA studio arts student exhibitions are held in our 2,500-sq.-ft. University Art Gallery, our 4,000-sq.-ft.
